If your application is successful the Mayor would like to inform members of the Community that your award was given. The purpose to this is allowing other members of the Community to hear about the Charity and how they can benefit from it. However, if you do not wish your details to be disclosed the Mayors Charity has the right to acknowledge that funds were given and the reasons why.
