I have been a Tidworth resident since 1996, having lived at my current address since 2003. I have a son who also lives in his own place in Tidworth and a teenage daughter, who lives at home with myself and Sarah my wife, we have been married since 2002. Born in Andover hospital in the mid 1960’s and bought up in Ludgershall. I went to Castledown Comprehensive School between 1977-1982. I currently work part time in the public transport sector, where I have worked for 6 years. I have previously studied at Southampton University where I qualified with an Advanced Diploma Nursing (Learning Disability) and practised as Learning Disability Nurse for the NHS. I have held a number of community volunteering roles including past Tidworth Town Councillor becoming Mayor/Chair for 2018/2019. I was also chair of the Tidworth Dementia Alliance, which bought together a number of agencies and businesses with an interest in making living with dementia easier. I set up and ran Tidworth’s very first Dementia Café, inspired by his late father living with the condition, many cakes and a wide variety of music and games were enjoyed. I was also a Parent Governor at Zouch Academy, which is part of the White Horse Federation Trust, I was also chair of Governors, whilst there. I am also Vice Chair of CastledownFM community radio station, where my main responsibilities are funding and volunteer recruitment. I would like to think I bring this wealth of experience in community roles to my role as a Tidworth Councillor and I am looking forward to representing the residents in the communities of Tidworth and Perham.
