Wiltshire Police Updates

Wiltshire Police is divided into ten Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPTs). Each NPT is led by an inspector and comprises of sergeants, police constables (PCs), police community support officers (PCSOs) and is supported by additional officers from the wider area to help serve the community and keep you safe.

The teams work closely with local authorities, organisations, partners and residents to identify policing priorities. This collaborative approach helps develop long-term solutions to local issues.

Tidworth falls under the ‘Amesbury’ Neighbourhood policing team and is led by Inspector Gavin Brewster, having joined the role on 1 January 2025.

Community Speed Watch in Wiltshire is a program that empowers local communities to address speeding issues by actively monitoring and reporting vehicles exceeding the speed limit. Volunteers, trained by Wiltshire Police, work alongside the police to record and pass on information about speeding vehicles to the authorities. This initiative aims to raise awareness about speeding, reduce accidents, and improve the overall quality of life in the community. Individuals interested in becoming volunteers can get in touch with Wiltshire Police by email: commsw@wiltshire.police.uk
