Event Organiser

Following on from the success of Tidworth Town Festival 2016 we are looking to recruit an Event Organiser on a free-lance basis to assist with planning, organising and running Tidworth Town Festival 2017. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the entertainment/music element of the festival but their expertise will also be required when planning and organising other elements of the event.
Previous event management experience would be preferred but project management experience will also be considered.
Access to transport is essential.

Tidworth Town Council

“Councillor Chris Franklin has resigned as Mayor and from Tidworth Town Council with immediate effect for personal reasons. 

Councillor Mark Connolly will take over the role of Mayor and Chairman of the Council until the Town elections in May 2017.  A Deputy Mayor will be elected at the next full Town Council meeting.  The good work of the Council will continue as normal with its strong Leadership Team and Councillors.

The Council wishes to thank Mr Franklin for his services as Mayor over the last five years.”

Mental Health Awareness Session

Winter Readiness Assistance

Are you Winter Ready? Please see below for details of extra help and support which is available for the less able within the community, in the case of a power cut during the coming winter months. Printed copies are available for collection from the Community Centre.

Flood Awareness and Training Day

Woodford and Durnford Parish Council and Lake Meeting, all in the Woodford Valley have jointly adopted a Flood Strategy plan. To explain how this works to residents and anyone else who would be interested, Woodford and Durnford Parish Council is holding a Flood Awareness and Training day on Saturday 22nd October, see below for more details.
